Dan Strutt

Dr Dan Strutt is a Senior Lecturer in the department of Media, Communications and Cultural Studies at Goldsmiths, University of London, where he teaches film, screen, and virtual media analysis alongside creative economy theory. His monograph ‘The Digital Image and Reality: Affect, Metaphysics and Post-Cinema’ was published with Amsterdam University Press in 2019, and the co-authored ‘Fashion as Creative Economy’ by Polity in 2022. He currently collaborates with dance and digital artists on funded projects in the area of motion-capture dance and telematic performance, most recently in a 2023-2024 British Academy Innovation Fellowship, and publishes on virtual embodiment, ethics, and digital creativity.
