Trained in performance design (B.A Hons) and Neuroaesthetics (MSc), Hennie is a practitioner & researcher in visual and performing arts, neuroaesthetics and somaesthetics.
As a co-founder of multidisciplinary arts collective Ludic, She has initiated various workshops and performances in Seoul, Bucharest, London, Den Haag and Gothenburg – on acknowledging and unlearning one’s cognitive and behavioural schemata.
Hennie is currently finishing her PhD in Psychology (Science) at Goldsmiths, University of London, on the topic of Social Neuroaesthetics, while being part of an ERC-granted project, NEUROLIVE as a research assistant at Movement and Performance Group, Institute of Cognitive Neuroscience, University College London. She is currently an Associate Lecturer at the Psychology department in Goldsmiths. In parallel, Hennie is working as a freelance researcher for a Neuroaesthetics studio, KINDA, using mobile electroencephalogram (EEG) to capture impact of various products on users’ well-being.
