Hugo Critchley is a psychiatrist and neuroscientist at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS) University of Sussex. With particular relevance to emotion, Hugo’s research focuses on mind-brain-body interactions in health and in different psychological and physical conditions. Hugo has conducted influential studies on interoception, i.e. how changes inside our body influence how we think, feel and act. Clinically, Hugo is trained in neuropsychiatry and works within a clinical service for adults with neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism, ADHD and Tourette syndrome.
