Nic Sandiland is a UK based artist whose work explores new choreographic forms through installation, performance and film. He originally trained as an electronics engineer before studying dance, and performance. Over the past 30 years, his practice has centred on the presence and actions of the viewer and how, through digital mediation and interaction, we can re-enliven the body, revisiting and revaluing the viewer’s actions through their innate physical presence. Commissions include: Royal Festival Hall; Barbican Arts Centre; Sadler’s Wells Theatre; Brighton International Festival. His film work has been shown worldwide and has been broadcast on UK TV.
