The Screen is the Brain is a performative installation that explores the connection between unconscious daily gestures and memory. In this work, the artist simulates the ebb and flow of mental presence by interacting with a machine as if it were her own brain. The installation visually represents the nature of her personal memories, combining moving images, text, and meaningful physical objects to create a dynamic, memory-like machine. Through the use of motion capture technologies and networking protocols, the creator engages with the machine in real time, crafting an intimate experience that extends the boundaries of video art, into a fluid, immersive exploration of consciousness and memory.
