London College of Fashion, UAL invited the public to an open morning at their Creative Lab programme, hosted at LCF’s newly opened East Bank campus in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. A morning of interactive presentations that showcased the latest digital collaborations and interdisciplinary application of technology across fashion, costume, performance and design including:

The Fashion Innovation Agency team presenting the latest in immersive technologies in fashion, detailing their projects with industry and how they are working to create a more 3D world.

Alexander Whitley presenting his collaborative and multi-disciplinary practice spanning dance, technology, architecture and fashion; providing insights into developments in motion-responsive and spatial technologies, and their relevance to traditional performance practices. Guests will be able to preview Otmo, a new software platform for digital movement creation he is developing.

George Adamopoulos, co-founder of the creative coding practice Unchartered Limbo Collective, will present a talk titled “Bytes, Pixels, Molecules: The Design of Digital Matter”, discussing the creative and technological process behind some of the studio’s most important works. The lecture will trace the fuzzy lines connecting human movement, simulations of natural phenomena and materials, and complex algorithmic systems that lead to the emergence of artificial life.
